A study by LendEDU found that recent college grads are overestimating their salaries.
Currently, college students expect to make about $60,000 a year their first job out of school. In reality, they make an average of $48,400 a year.
But that doesn’t hold true for all graduates. Students at Princeton expected to make about $72,500 a year after graduation. The study found that they made an average of $72,700 a year. The study concluded that, on average, college students will earn about 81% of what they anticipate.
